With more than 50 years of experience, Destination Education℠ by Watermark® creates one-of-a-kind experiences in the Chesapeake Bay area.

Watermark’s heartfelt enthusiasm for the area it calls home has remained the same for more than 50 years, providing a variety of land and water experiences unique to this special part of the world.

One of the company’s core pillars is Youth Education, having provided field trips for hundreds of thousands of students. From period-attired tour guides to customized STEM cruises, Watermark brings education to life and is especially beloved by teachers and students alike. Here, we spotlight some of their most popular experiences.

Watermark’s most popular field trip combines a historic walking tour with a narrated boat cruise to provide students a complete Annapolis experience on both land and water. This field trip has three sections:

Educating Colonial Stroll

A period-attired guide leads students past historic homes and mansions, explaining about life in the 18th century and the important figures that helped make Annapolis and Maryland what it is today. The tour includes the Maryland State House, where George Washington resigned as Commander-in-Chief.

Experience The U.S. Naval Academy

Students experience the sights and sounds of the U.S. Naval Academy, home to more than 4,000 midshipmen on this 90-minute tour of the Yard, which includes building interiors and historic landmarks like Bill the Goat and the John Paul Jones’s crypt.

Pizza Party Cruise For Students

It’s hard to find a more universally loved food than pizza, and that’s especially true with the younger set. Celebrate the end of the school year or reward your class for a special accomplishment with a two-or-three-hour private DJ party cruise in Annapolis or Baltimore that includes appropriate playlists from Watermark’s engaging, student-friendly DJs, and, yes, pizza.
